R.I.P. EQUUSEROTICUS?

July 15, 2009 by Pony Master

It has been several months since new owners took over Equuseroticus and nothing has happened.

On May 30th, new owner Rebecca Wilcox plastered the ponyplay scene with a press release letting everyone know that great things will once again be happening with our favorite magazine.  Than it all went silent.

I figured that with the press release, the new owners would at least be smart enough to protect the brand and keep the loyal following Paul and Emily had built up over the past years by putting something up on the website heralding the great news.  But nope.  It stayed dark.

Maybe it’s my marketing background that questioned why anyone in this day and age would not do SOMETHING with a website when taking over a business.  Do something to give the clients and guests some reason to keep the faith in something that had a great following and a excellent reputation for quality.

In my last check, even the search engines forgot anything was there.  That’s not a good sign.  So here we sit almost two months after the big announcement and there is nothing to show for the new owners.  Making it that much harder, if not impossible for them to build up any of the lost ground already established when they took over. It will be like starting a new site and a new business.

If I may make a suggestion to the new owners?:  You took over a great brand from a wonderful couple who became friends with a lot of people in the ponyplay world.  They built up a lot of supporters who are anxiously awaiting something.  At least get the website back up.  A one page “Hello, we are still here”  and give us some sign of hope for a comeback.

Thank You !

Off Topic… Sort of

May 18, 2009 by Pony Master

This may not pertain to ponyplay, but it does pertain to the people we tend to hang around with.  Smokers…

A friend of mine showed me this new product and I fell in love with it. Actually I fell in love with the possibility of the product. As an Ex-smoker, I hate being around the smoke of others.  If you could get rid of the smoke and I have no problem being around smokers.

My friend is a chain smoker, but while we working in the studio, he was puffing away at a black stick and emitting what I thought was smoke.   I almost freaked out on the poor guy! Just what I needed was nicotine stains on recording equipment.  But he explained he was puffing on Blu Cigarettes. He went on to show me what it was and how they worked.

Instead of smoke, he was puffing out water vapors. No Smoke, No flame, No Smell and Completely legal to do in a non-smoking environment. I thought that was pretty darn cool.

Imagine if all the smokers at a munch or play party were to have these??!! Wow….Smokers would get their nicotine fix, their friends don’t have to choke when they are around each other, and everyone can be in the same room together!!

I know we can’t stop smoking (nor would I want to trample down that road) But if we have to get along, this is the next best thing to it. Take a Look
